by Lou Hazelwood

To stain, working with the found.

Artist Lou Hazelwood, often works with found footage and imagery. She changes the way it is viewed and its originally intended usage, which is to capture moments and preserve the past.

Gaining a Ba (Hons) in Fine Art, Hull, 1994 and an Ma Fine Art, Sheffield, 2012 her practice considers the constructs of memory and how this affects our connectivity, how we have recorded and displayed historically and how this has developed our current modes of display and our inclination to instantly forget.
